Day 1: Radisson Blu Sandton, Johannesburg (Wed, 24 November 2021)

Day 1: Upon arrival at O.R Tambo International, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at Leisure.

Johannesburg

Johannesburg is one of Africa’s biggest and most vibrant cities. It is the economic capital of Africa and the gateway to Southern Africa. Although not as famous as other South African destinations, there is plenty to do in Johannesburg and nearby Pretoria. The old city is a multi-cultural mixture of traditional medicine shops, Chinese restaurants, taxi ranks and ultra-modern skyscrapers. There are excellent museums, art galleries and organized tours of historical and political interest. The shopping is Southern Africa’s best and the many restaurants cater for all tastes. The nearby township of Soweto is Johannesburg’s most popular tourist attraction.

Day 2-3: aha Makalali Main Lodge, Makalali Private Game Reserve (Thu, 25 November to Fri, 26 November 2021)

Day 2: This morning after your breakfast and checkout, you will be collected by your driver for your transfer to Makalali Game Reserve. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will enjoy Lunch (time permitting) followed by an Afternoon Game Drive. Dinner will be enjoyed at the Lodge this evening. Day 3: This morning, embark on an Early morning Game Drive followed by Breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning at Leisure. This afternoon enjoy Lunch followed by your Afternoon Game Drive or you can spend the rest of the afternoon at Leisure. Dinner will also be enjoyed at the Lodge this evening.

Makalali Private Game Reserve

Situated in the Lowveld region of Limpopo, the Makalali Private Game Reserve - also known as the Makalali Conservancy - covers over 22 000 hectares of pristine African bushveld stretching across a series of rolling hills. Makalali, meaning ‘Place of Rest’ in Shangaan aims to create a sanctuary for the diversity of fauna and flora in the area and re-establish the ancient wildlife corridor that connects the Drakensberg Mountains with the Kruger National Park. It is home to the infamous Big Five which includes lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Visitors can look forward to soaking up magnificent views, spotting an abundance of wildlife and enjoying magical African sunsets. Don’t miss the opportunity to jump on a thrilling safari through the African bush. Other commonly spotted species include cheetah, kudu, giraffe, and zebra.

Overnight: aha Makalali Main Lodge

aha Makalali Private Game Reserve is located close to the mighty Drakensberg mountains west of the Kruger Park, this ethnic bush retreat lies on 26 000 hectares of bushveld in the North-eastern Lowveld, South Africa. Flights can be arranged into Hoedspruit Airport and from here transfers organized. Makalali Game Reserve boasts the ‘Big Five’ - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. Day 4-7: Taj Cape Town, Cape Town (Sat, 27 November to Mon, 30 November 2021)

Day 4: This morning you will embark on your last morning Game Drive followed by breakfast. You will be collected by your driver for your transfer to O.R Tambo International Airport for your flight to Cape Town.  FLIGHT JNB/CPT – Optional – not included Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be collected by your driver and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at Leisure. Day 5: This morning you will be collected by your English-Speaking guide for your Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour Including Lunch. Full Day Cape Point Tour Highlights of a trip down to Cape Point include; one of the world’s most spectacular drives, Hout Bay, Chapman’s Peak, Noordhoek Beach, the Cape Point Nature Reserve, two lighthouses on the tip of Africa, Boulders Penguin Colony, Simon’s town, Kalk Bay and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Day 6: This morning you will be collected by your English-Speaking guide for your Full day Winelands Tour. Your Winelands day will include, Wine Tasting, Cheese & Wine Tasting, a Visit to Huguenot Memorial and Lunch. Cape Winelands Day Tour From Cape Town make your way out into the picturesque winelands visiting South Africa’s most famous wine regions – Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.

Hugenot Memorial

The Huguenot Memorial and the adjacent Museum are a fitting reminder of the French emigrants’ contribution to this beautiful valley and to South Africa.

Blaauwklippen Wine Tasting

Blaauwklippen is one of the Western Cape wine region’s oldest and most respected wine farms and also strives to be one of its friendliest and most welcoming. Wine aficionados and casual quaffers will feel equally at home in the tasting center, which is devoted to the love of wine and encouraging people to taste and try different wines. In keeping with the relaxed, casual atmosphere, visitors can take their wine outside and enjoy it on the veranda or lawn. There is also a children’s play area.

Fairview Wine Estate

One of the most popular stops along the Paarl wine route, Fairview is more than just a winery – it’s also famous for its range of cow’s and goat’s milk cheeses, which have won numerous awards and are distributed countrywide. A range of local produce can be purchased direct from the farm – cheese and olive oil from the deli, fresh bread from the bakery and vino from the cellar.  Or if you prefer dining indoors you can follow up a wine tasting with a Mediterranean meal from the farm's Goatshed Restaurant. Day 7: This morning you will embark on a Half Day City & Table Mountain Tour. After your City & Table Mountain Tour you will be dropped off at your hotel to freshen up before dinner at Gold Restaurant.

Cape Town City Tour Half Day

On a clear day from the summit of Table Mountain you get spectacular views of the City, its Waterfront, Camps Bay, the majestic Hottentots Holland Mountains to the East and the mountains of the Cape Peninsula all the way down to Cape Point to the south. The Table Mountain cableway (included), a must for all visitors to the Cape, boasts revolving floors, giving passengers a 360-degree view.  After descending the mountain, you will depart on a tour of the “Mother City” taking in Signal Hill – where the Noon Day Gun is fired at midday, every day except Sunday – through the colorful Bo-Kaap or Cape Malay Quarter, past the Grand Parade, City Hall and the Castle of Good Hope and South African Cultural History Museum. Table Mountain is weather permitting

Drumming & Dinner (Gold Restaurant)

Enjoy a private drumming session with a master facilitator. Provided with a djembe drum, you are taught the different sounds and rhythms. Soon African rhythms are heard vibrating through the night. The lesson concludes with a hand washing ceremony, dinner of a variety of different African dishes and live entertainment at Gold Restaurant.
