Leap of Faith: Finding Passion in Travel
Beloveds. Are you about taking risks and going for what’s in your heart, or are you complacent – playing it safe? I decided to take a leap of faith – placing myself completely in the arms of the Lord; letting go of all thoughts, doubts, fears – about any consequences.
Birth of a Travel & Media Ministry
Over the past few years, I’ve ran across various people in all types of industries – each feeling a sense of stagnancy. Their unhappiness leads back to relationships, family, work, etc. I’ve had many days with these same demons attacking my mind, sanity and peace. Epiphany…change, your presence is necessary. I began to seek change…in the process, finding myself elevating as a true woman of God! Today, I am rapidly building my empire and ministry as a travelpreneur.
Becoming the Change
I did not know what change looked like, only that it was necessary for me to live my life according to purpose.
Philippians 4 had some very eye opening words which shaped my direction:
1 Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
In Proverbs 31, I receive revelation about what my passion and purpose would look like:
Verses 10 – 15Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She finds wool and flax and busily spins it.
Verses 15 – 18She is like a merchant’s ship, bringing her food from afar. She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls. She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night.
Verses 19 – 21Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber. She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes.
Verses 22 – 24She makes her own bedspreads. She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns. Her husband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders. She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants.
Verses 25 – 27She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness.
Verses 28 – 31Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
Queens of Virtue: My Why!
My goal is to empower through education and experience. Effort is placed on helping them to see themselves as the gems and treasures that God creates us to be. I inspire you all to take a leap of faith and follow the comforter and friend that dwells within. To believers, this is the leading of God. Is travel your passion? Go for it. “All things are possible through Christ who strengthens us.” Travel brings in the opportunity to meet new people, enjoy pastimes or to get a change of scenery; it even brings luxury – which is an intrinsic value for many. For me, travel is very therapeutic. It allows me to disconnect with things that seem to bring me out of my character – stressors and it let’s me see and experience life from a whole new perspective.
